Product Introduction
DESCRIPTIONS
Quartz skirting is a decorative and functional trim made from engineered quartz, typically installed along the bottom edge of interior walls, where the wall meets the floor. It is commonly used in residential and commercial spaces to protect wall bases from scuffs, stains, and impact damage, while also enhancing the overall design continuity-especially when matched with quartz flooring or wall cladding.
It can withstand daily collisions such as furniture movement and foot kicking, and is not easy to dent or break. For example, if you accidentally scratch the skirting when carrying heavy objects, the quartz stone surface will hardly leave a mark. The low water absorption rate (0.03%) makes Quartz difficult to absorb water, swell or mold in humid environments such as bathrooms and kitchens, which is better than normal skirting.

INSTALLATION AND UNIQUE SPACE

Why Choose White Quartz Skirting?
Skirting, often overlooked in interior detailing, plays a crucial role in elevating both the performance and visual appeal of interior spaces. Compared to traditional skirting materials such as MDF, wood, or ceramic, quartz skirting offers superior durability, stain resistance, and moisture protection. Its non-porous surface resists mold and mildew, making it an ideal choice for areas prone to humidity, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial interiors.
From a functional perspective, skirting provides a seamless transition between flooring and walls while also protecting the base of walls from impact and daily wear. Aesthetically, it ensures a consistent material tone and texture when paired with quartz flooring or thresholds, achieving a unified, high-end look.
Installation Steps
1. Prepare the Wall Surface
Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and free of dust or debris.
Remove old skirting boards if replacing.
Check for uneven surfaces-level them if necessary.
2. Measure and Cut the Skirting
Measure each wall section carefully.
Cut the quartz skirting to size using a diamond-tipped saw or professional stone-cutting tools.
For corners, miter the edges to get a clean, continuous look.
3. Dry Fit the Skirting
Position the pieces against the wall without adhesive to ensure a proper fit.
4. Apply Adhesive
Apply a suitable adhesive to the back of the skirting using a notched trowel or caulking gun.
Use construction-grade stone adhesive or silicone specifically recommended for quartz or stone.
5. Fix the Skirting to the Wall
Press the skirting firmly into place.
Use a level to check for alignment and make adjustments immediately.
Secure with masking tape temporarily if needed while the adhesive cures.
6. Seal the Edges (Optional)
For a watertight finish (especially in bathrooms or kitchens), apply a bead of silicone sealant along the top edge.
7. Clean and Finish
Wipe off any excess adhesive or sealant before it sets.
